Our first retreats are small, welcoming gatherings designed for first time retreaters craving real connection. Whether youβre feeling a bit lost, burnt out, or simply seeking meaningful time with others, these Retreats offer a gentle space to be yourself. Thereβs no pressure, no agenda β just time shared with kind people, nourishing food, and simple moments that remind us weβre not alone. Come as you are. Leave feeling lighter, seen, and a little more human.
For the remainder of the 25' season we are offering first retreater weekends at Β£150 (arrive Friday, leave Sunday). All details below. We hope to see you soon for your first retreat!

We love our Wispers and adore catching up with them when they revisit us. The reason we hold Returners Retreats is that our Wispers tend to hit the ground running and know what they want from their Retreat. A first timer might feel awkward or out of the picture with a group that know what to expect and what they hope to achieve. Returners revisit either by themselves or with people they have met on a previous retreat. Either is fine with us as long as the ethos of inclusivity is maintained. As with all our Retreats there is no pressure, no agenda to adhere to, just the opportunity to let go a bit with kind people.

We have had a number of enquiries from former Wispers about the possibility of Christmas at The Wisp - so this year we're going to do it! 24th to 27th December. It's going to be a fairly informal affair and between us we'll try to cover 'the usual' Christmas jollies and meals. If you've been before and you'd like to try something different for Christmas this year, come and join us and a small band of former Wisper's (sorry, returners only for this one). Send us a message and we'll get you booked in! Important note - ethically sourced meat WILL feature over the Christmas period!

Our Winter Weekend Retreats are a mini version of our First Retreats and are aimed at people coming here on Retreat for the first time and Returners. Arrival is between 2pm and 6pm on Friday . We offer two trips to Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery, one for afternoon prayers and an early morning trip for morning prayers on the Sunday, both of which are optional. You may wish to simply relax and connect with fellow Retreaters and the house is set up for just that. There is time to explore the surrounding area, even if it's just for a quick nature walk. Our Weekend Retreaters leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, with new friendships and experiences to reflect on.
