Join us for a two day workshop in the copper foil method of stained glass. Arriving at 5pm on Friday and leaving at 5pm on Sunday, spend a creative, yet relaxed weekend learning a new skill in a supportive and welcoming environment and take home a selection of beautiful stained glass flower decorations.
You will be guided through all the stages and techniques required to enable you to produce your stained glass stems.
Using templates provided, or simple designs of your own, you will learn how to cut, shape and join glass together, using copper foil and solder, to create individual stems resulting in an eye catching display.
This course is perfect for beginners or improvers.
You will learn the basic skills, and gain enough confidence with the materials, to create a number of beautiful stems. Your finished flowers can be displayed in a variety of different ways, using vases, displayed on wood or as a decorative addition to houseplants.
You will be taught to:
• Select suitable glass
• Score and break glass to fit your chosen pattern
• Glass grinding
• Apply copper foil to the cut pieces
• Tack and solder pieces together
• Apply patina
Teaching will be from 10-5 each day with an hour break for lunch
