Youβre tired all the time. Sleep feels light and restless. Your mind wonβt switch off. Youβre looking after everyone else, but thereβs nothing left for you. Help seems far away and finding a way forward can seem impossible.
Work stress, family responsibilities, exhausting illness, bad or self destructive habits or simply years of running on empty β it all adds up.
Temporary relief can be found in many places but is not always sustainable or beneficial in the long term. Real recovery needs time.
Here, in the quiet countryside of the Scottish Borders, youβll finally have the space and support to let your body and nervous system reset properly.
Slow down and give yourself some time and space to effect really meaningful change at the Wisp.
Rest, Reset, Recharge and Rise again!

This is not an intense bootcamp, a medically assisted rehab or a luxury spa. Itβs a genuine escape designed for people who need to slow down, reassess, reset and feel human again.
Youβll enjoy:
The focus is on human interaction, real rest, better sleep, healthy eating, digital detox, dietary detox, clearer thinking and time out from problematic environments and the stress of the modern world.
Price: Β£1,400 for the full 4 weeks (all meals and accommodation included) or Β£700 for 2 weeks (where 4 weeks is not possible - this is to ensure that the retreat is still an option for working people with limited holiday time).
Life here moves at a gentler rhythm β thatβs the whole point.
Thereβs no pressure to follow a tight timetable. Instead, youβll gently settle into a loose, healthy daily rhythm that supports deep rest and recovery. Most guests find that having some gentle structure actually helps them slow down and feel better, day by day.
Meals are at the heart of our retreat. We prepare fresh, nourishing food together each day, and we warmly encourage everyone to join for breakfast and dinner if possible. These shared mealtimes often become some of the most enjoyable and connecting moments β a chance to chat, laugh, and support one another.
Movement is part of the rhythm. Whether itβs a peaceful walk in the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside, a session in the small gym, cycling on our e-bikes, or something gentler, most guests include some form of activity each day. Itβs never obligatory β just encouraged as a natural way to feel more alive and grounded.
Evenings wind down early. Most guests naturally find themselves heading to bed between 9 and 10pm. The quiet nights and fresh air make for deep, restorative sleep β something many people say they havenβt experienced in years.
Everything else is completely voluntary. You can join group conversations, share stories, offer or receive peer support, read by the window, journal, rest, or simply do nothing at all. Some guests enjoy occasional outings β a local hike, a trip to the cinema, a visit to the nearby Buddhist temple, or a gentle cycle β but these are always optional.
We all contribute together: guests help with simple cooking and cleaning on a light, shared rota. There are no staff here β this creates a real sense of community and shared responsibility, which many people find surprisingly comforting and grounding.
At its core, your days will revolve around the simple but powerful principles that create real change: Reduce screen time β’ Eat well β’ Sleep deeply β’ Move gently β’ Socialise meaningfully β’ Read β’ Slow down β’ Rest.
By the end of your four weeks, this slower, kinder way of living often feels natural β and many guests take these habits home with them as a lasting gift.

Taking time to rest and reset now isnβt a luxury β itβs a wise investment in your future wellbeing. By giving yourself this proper break, you can prevent exhaustion from turning into deeper burnout, stronger health challenges, or that constant feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Many guests tell us they finally feel equipped to return to life with more energy, clarity, and resilience.
Everyone is warmly welcome here β men, women, and people of all backgrounds and ages.

"Everyone who attended the retreat brought something unique to it, and I was genuinely blown away by how quickly this random group of strangers bonded together, offering one another support, encouragement and friendship. I learned from and was inspired by every single person there."

"I took a leap of faith at a difficult time in my life and embraced a different way of life that I will carry with me. I was worried that it might not suit me. That I wouldnβt fit in. Just go for it. Immerse yourself into the whole experience. "

"I didn't realise how much it was needed until I experienced it. Eddie and Alison are such wonderfully, welcoming, hospitable people- I need to warn them, there will be no getting rid of me- I will be back!"
